Computational Design

Summary

This project develops interactive tools that enable efficient exploration of design spaces according to a given set of requirements. Shape exploration is often formulated as a constrained optimization problem that takes fabrication-oritented constraints and aesthetic requirements into account. To achieve interative performance, we develop numerical optimization solvers that can produce results in real time. The solver codes are released in ShapeOp.
